Airds Hotel, Port Appin

Ellisland House, Ayr

Ellisland House Hotel is a beautiful house dating back to the early 1900s. Surrounded by mature trees and immaculate grounds, it is situated on Ayr’s Racecourse Road and is within minutes of the town centre, the famous Ayr seafront, esplanade and many tourist attractions such as the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum and Burns’ Cottage.

The hotel has nine double bedrooms all with luxury bathrooms, including two suites and a spacious family room. George Hotel, Inveraray, Argyll

The present George Hotel, Inveraray, was originally two private houses completed in 1770. It is now a charming hotel with 17 bedrooms which have over the last 6 years all been sensitively and carefully restored in keeping with the history and architecture of the building. The 6 master bedrooms are all large and elegantly furnished with antiques, oil portraits and paintings. Some have polished wooden floors below and wooden beams above. Glengorm Castle, Isle of Mull

The Piersland Hotel, Troon is a former home of the Johnnie Walker family. It is an A listed building which retains all the original features including wood panelling, stone fireplaces and Jacobean embroidery.

The Watt family run this friendly, privately owned hotel, which is located within striking distance of Royal Troon Golf Club.

The Harbour Inn, Isle of Islay

The Tower Rooms at Glengorm, Isle of Mull

Formerly the Turret flat, this area has been fully refurbished and reintroduced as a unique serviced apartment within the castle. Accessed via the main stairs of the Castle, it comprises 2 bedrooms, one with superkingsize bed and one with a double bed. There is 1 shared bathroom. The suite has access to the original tower built in 1860 and roof access overlooking the turrets. Near the top of the tower is the compass room, a secluded chamber that offers views in all 4 directions; across Glengorm, Mull and beyond to the outer Hebrides. Guests of the Tower Rooms can enjoy their own private suite as well as the main hall, library and dining room for morning breakfast.

Turnberry Resort, Ayrshire
